Laurie E. Notch is a published author of nonfiction, fiction, and cyber graphic novels. She has lectured at Tufts University among other colleges in the U.S., Europe, Africa, and Asia. Moreover, Laurie is the Founder and Managing Editor of IdeaGems Publications and the President of Wasted Minds Media Group, Inc. whose projects include Cube Ghouls, a feature film musical “zomb-edy,” Strange Attractors, a reality TV program that investigates the odd and extraordinary, Ghost Quest, with an all female ghost hunting team, and The Spoiler, a feature film based on her novel published in 2007. Laurie has been a guest on the Donahue Show (1980) and Debra Nigro’s First Wives World (2007) along with various radio interviews in the US and abroad. In 2007, her documentary project, Spanking Tinkerbell, about taboo practices in suburban America, was “the buzz” of the 2007 National Publicity Summit. She has also been featured in MovieMaker Magazine (April 2008) and on the front page of the Lewiston Sun Journal (October 31, 2008). Laurie also participates in the Ocean Park Writers’ Conference held every August in Ocean Park, ME.

WHAT'S A WIDGET?

I am on a learning curve about Web tech stuff. I only just managed to post new widgets on my PRODUCTION NOTES blog at http://www.laurie-notch.blogspot.com/ and created a new profile page on About.Me http://about.me/laurienotch as Web presence is exteremly crtical for independent creative endeavors.

And now I will attempt to embed widgets onto this blog 1) just toprove to myself that I can do it and 2) to urge people to take a look at two terrific indie projects on IndeiGoGo. Granted, it doesn't mean much if no one reads this post. But nothing vetnured, nothing gained.
